21. LUCK IS FINALY AT YOUR DOOR. SEND 20 COPIES TO ACQUAINTANCES, FRIENDS AND FAMILY. ONE DAY LATER YOU WILL GET GOOD NEWS OR A SURPRISE.
Not wanting to nitpick too much, but
- Example (16) Constantin got his good luck in 9 hrs
- Example (18) Bruno got his good luck in 9 days
- Point 20 promises luck in 4 days
- And here you promise it in 1 day
22. I SENT THIS CARD EXPECTING IT TO GO AROUND THE WORLD.
Now, you’re contradicting yourself again, it had already gone around the world 8 times before you sent it (see point 12).
23. SEND ONLY 20 COPIES AND EXPECT GOOD TIDINGS IN THE NEXT DAYS.
Mathematically, if the chain of emails has just 8 links and everyone does what is requested when they receive the email, then everyone on the internet will receive 25 copies of this chain letter and they will all be festooned with huge amounts of luck, tsunamis of good tidings and avalanches of surprises. Oh joy!
24. IMPORTANT: DO NOT MODIFY THE TEXT THAT I SENT YOU, COPY IT EXACTLY THE WAY YOU GOT IT. GOOD LUCK. J.A.B.
If the card was sent by Anthony De Croud, why is it signed J.A.B? A thought suddenly occurs to me. Maybe the text had already been modified by J.A.B. before I got it, thus (as point 24 implies) invalidating all the good luck and/or surprises that were lined up for me. Damn!
